FAQ – Frequently asked questions.

- What style of photography do you supply?

I love documentary or reportage photography and I will approach your wedding in that way. But when I take your portraits, I will give you some direction to help with poses that are the most flattering and bring you into the best light. So, I blend styles to get the best from all styles of photography. After all, I am here to make you look good. Contact me to have a look at further examples and my wedding albums.

- Do you do groups shots?

Yes, I tend to keep to a maximum of six or seven as I don’t want to take up too much time for your guests, allowing them to get back to enjoying your day. However, it is your wedding and should you require more group photos then this can be discussed prior to your wedding.

- Do you shoot colour, black and white, or a mixture of both?

Everything is shot in colour and then I adjust them in post production to black and white. You’ll receive a mixture of both in your finished images.

- Do you bring an assistant or second photographer?

Usually no, as I work quicker on my own. By the time I’ve explained where I want the dress placed or flashes moved to, I could have done it myself. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love someone to carry my bags or help with the photography but I’d then have to increase prices to pay for the extra help. Having said that, a second photographer for large weddings can be made available at extra cost if you feel you need one. But talk to me about your requirements and I can help advise you.

- Do you correct your photos?

Yes. Nothing has changed since the days of film, professional photographers have always adjusted for correct colour temperature and have adjusted colours. If there is a temporary blemish on the skin then this will also be removed.

A lot of my clients live out of the area and either grew up here or want to get married in one of the many stunning wedding venues South Wales has to offer. Most of my clients opt to book after looking through the website and perhaps calling for a chat. However, if you would like to meet at your wedding venue or a place of your choice, and you can see further examples of my work and discuss your wedding further.

If coming to meet me is not possible, please feel free to call or we can simply book the date for you with the completion of our booking form, which I can send to you upon request.

- Are you the actual photographer who will be shooting on my wedding day?

Yes, it’s me. By the time we get to your wedding day, we’ll have a great working relationship and I wouldn’t trust your day to anybody else.

- Do you have insurance?

Yes, all full-time professional photographers should have insurance. Even if you don’t choose me as your wedding or commercial photographer, please make sure your photographer has proper business insurance.

- How much is required to book the wedding day.

A minimum 10% non refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding day.
